Quinton Hennigh, M.Sc., Ph.D, President and Director

When it comes to gold (especially in Nevada), Quinton is one of the world most informed, passionate and imaginative geologists. If gold is to be found, Quinton will find it!

Quinton comes from a long tradition of gold seekers - his great-great-great grandfather followed the gold rush to Colorado in 1859. In fact, Quinton lives on a site homesteaded by his family. Through his career, Quinton has made significant contributions to Newmont Mining, Newcrest Mining and Homestake Mining. He has experience working throughout North America, in Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. He possesses the invaluable ability to balance the pragmatics of business with bold innovation. Over the past fifteen years, Quinton has established an enviable reputation for timely and efficient completion of exploration programs under his supervision and maintains a network of industry colleagues who are committed to maintaining ongoing business relationships with him at Evolving Gold. He is a passionate teacher and is spearheading a campaign to fund a high school fostering excellence in math and the sciences in his home state.

Robert Bick, MusBac. CEO and Director

Robert has an uncanny ability to define the most effective strategic direction, build the right team and make sure it all happens.

Robert Bick is an integral part of a Canadian business legend and was involved in every aspect of Bick’s Pickles - on the line, in the fields, on the road - in branch operations across Canada and overseas. As an entrepreneur, Robert founded a children’s clothing company and raised $25,000,000 in venture capital while president of a software start-up. As marketer, Robert worked directly with national Shell companies around the world to launch Formula Shell and to develop exclusive, innovative pump promotions. Robert has wide-ranging experience as a management consultant and is co-founder of thinkX Intellectual Capital Inc. In addition to his business activities, Robert spent 10 years as a classical flautist performing and recording throughout Europe and North America with the Galliard Ensemble.

Vitaly Melnikov, MBA, CPA Chief Financial Officer

Vitaly Melnikov is a financial professional with significant experience and expertise in mining, oil & gas, investment and financial consulting.

 

Prior to joining Evolving Gold Vitaly held senior management positions with international resource companies operating in North America, Europe, Russia and Central Asia.

He recently served as Vice President, Finance and Administration of UrAsia Energy Ltd., a uranium producer (acquired by Uranium One in April 2007).

Vitaly has also held financial management positions with PetroKazakhstan (formerly Hurricane Hydrocarbons), a vertically integrated oil & gas company (acquired by China National Petroleum Corporation in October 2005); and Kumtor Operating Company with exploration activities and a large operating gold mine in Central Asia (currently owned by Centerra Gold).

Mr. Melnikov is a Certified Public Accountant (USA) and holds an MBA and a M.Sc.(Economics) degrees.

Lawrence A. Dick, Ph.D., P.Geo Director

Lawrence Dick is a superstar to his fellow geologists and to investors alike. In his career he has identified 4 major deposits that have created wealth for all involved.

As Exploration Manager for Chevron Resources in Chile, Larry led the team that discovered the giant Collahuasi district copper/molybdenum deposits and the Can Can epithermal gold deposit. Today Collahuasi is one of the largest copper producers in the world. Earlier in his career, Larry discovered the Golden Bear gold deposit in northern British Columbia gave the Hunter Dickenson Group and Wheaton River Mines their early start. As Executive V.P. and Director of General Minerals Corporation, Larry led the exploration that discovered copper and silver prospects in Chile, Peru and Bolivia. As President, Director and geology guru for Continuum Resources Ltd., (TSX.V – CNU), Larry identified and developed the Natividad and San Jose deposits advancing them from “depleted” properties to potentially viable gold and silver mines. Larry received his Ph.D. in Economic Geology from Queen’s University and has extensive experience in the exploration and evaluation of base and precious metals deposits worldwide.

Donald Gee, B.Sc. (Geology), Lic. Acct., C.A.Director

As a CA and a geologist Don’s unique balance of financial and geological expertise is critical to Evolving.

Don has over 28 years experience in private and public company financing, corporate/capital structuring and management. Don is a member of the Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

 

Gilles J. Arseneau, Ph.D., P.Geo Director

Gilles is a respected geology consultant with significant experience working for the TSX Venture Exchange.

Gilles has over 25 years in mineral exploration working as a consultant and senior geologist for major and junior mining companies with experience in gold, base metal, uranium and bauxite deposits in Canada, United States and South America. He has particular expertise in resource modeling and mineral property valuations. Most recently he was Manager – Geologist with the TSX Venture Exchange where he was responsible for the review of NI 43-101 technical reports. He is presently Manager of Geology at Wardrop Engineering Inc.

 

William (“Bill”) Majcher, BCom Director

Bill brings a combination of financial savvy, corporate governance ability and a keen eye for financial opportunity to the EVG Board.

William (“Bill”) Majcher is the International Business, Europe and Middle East for The Baron Group, a Hong Kong based mid-tier investment bank. He is a highly accomplished visionary with over 20 years combined experience in public service, international finance, and capital markets. His background includes management, public stewardship, structured finance, emerging markets, product development, strategic planning, positioning, and risk management.Mr. Majcher started his career as a Euro-bond trader in London, England, where he was known as one of the youngest Canadian Eurobond traders in the market. He later used this experience during a twenty year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), where Mr. Majcher enjoyed remarkable success in covert and public market investigations that often saw him working with law enforcement and securities regulators from around the globe. Mr. Majcher has experience as a Futures and Options broker and trader and has lectured extensively on abuse within the international capital markets, including sophisticated money laundering.Mr. Majcher obtained a bachelors degree in Commerce from St. Mary’s University, Halifax.
